Chandler High School student dies at hospital days after being hit by vehicle
A Chandler High School student has died two days after he was hit by a vehicle near the school, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A Chandler High School student has died two days after he was hit by a vehicle near the school, authorities said.
Chandler police and fire crews responded to the pedestrian crash near Arizona Avenue and Detroit Street just after noon on Thursday.
The pedestrian was not using a crosswalk to cross the street when they were hit by a vehicle, according to witnesses.
The pedestrian, identified as a Chandler High School student, was transported to a nearby hospital. He has since died, police said Saturday.
Authorities said the driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. It remains ongoing after the student’s death.
