Police investigating after Chandler elementary school allegedly vandalized

An investigation is underway after a Chandler elementary school was allegedly vandalized last week, authorities said.

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a Chandler elementary school was allegedly vandalized last week, authorities said.

According to the Chandler Police Department, the act of vandalism occurred at Conley Elementary School, located near Saragosa Street and Arrowhead Drive, on Oct. 15.

Police said that three people, believed to consist of at least one male and one female, illegally entered the school around 1:30 a.m.

The individuals reportedly damaged multiple areas of the school, including the special education classroom. They also took seven iPads from the classroom, which were found smashed in the school’s parking lot, according to Chandler police.

In addition, the three people broke into the Chandler elementary school’s playground storage sheds and scattered the sports equipment around the school and onto rooftops, police said.

No property was reported stolen from the school, according to Chandler PD. 

Police said that detectives are reviewing evidence and surveillance footage to try to identify the people involved.

Allegedly KTAR does not know when to use the word alleged.
The vandalism is not in question, it did occur, the people who did it are alleged to have done it, innocent until proven guilty.
