Chandler Municipal Airport offering guided airfield tours on select days

PHOENIX — For those interested in aviation, the Chandler Municipal Airport is offering free guided tours for customers once every month.

According to a release from the city of Chandler, the tours will be conducted from either 10:30-11:30 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. on the following days:

• Friday, Sept. 19
• Friday, Oct. 17
• Monday, Nov. 24
• Friday, Dec. 12

Residents will learn about what happens at the airport behind the scenes in its operations department and how they work together with other airports throughout the nation.

The one-hour tours include an overview of the entire airfield and a stop at the heliport.

Chandler Municipal Airport is located at 2380 S. Stinson Way.

The tours can accommodate 14 people and each attendee must register individually.
