1 man dead after being struck by a truck in central Phoenix

A man is dead after being struck by a passing truck in central Phoenix on Thursday night.

PHOENIX — A man is dead after being struck by a truck in central Phoenix on Thursday night.

Rasguan Jones, 25, allegedly crossed the street and did not use a crosswalk near 16th Avenue and Camelback Road, according to Phoenix police.

Details on central Phoenix crash that left man dead

Officers received a call at 8:33 p.m. about a crash involving a truck and a pedestrian.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Jones suffering from serious injuries. Emergency personnel took Jones to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to police.

The driver of the truck remained on scene and was heading east on Camelback Road when Jones was hit. The driver did not show any signs of being under the influence, according to police.

No further details were released.

This tragedy could have been easily avoided, had "Rasguan" bothered to use the dam crosswalk ..

One simple rule. Cross at a crosswalk with the light to allow you.

Thanks for sharing.
Acting out as a social reject won't magically change the the reality that pedestrians are routinely struck in the roadway, but we never hear of them getting struck on the sidewalk with the same regularity.
Thanks for arguing the irrelevant.
