PHOENIX — The suspects who were arrested on Thursday in connection to a shooting in Casa Grande that killed four people have been identified by police.
Casa Grande police said Alec Javier Perez, 31, and Rodney Ortiz Jr., 22, were arrested on suspicion of four counts of first-degree murder.
The victims were identified as 32-year-old Justin Allen Yates, 27-year-old Jose Martin Aguilera, 31-year-old Connie Carrera and 29-year-old Crysta Proctor.
Police said Proctor was the estranged wife of Perez.
The shooting happened in the 400 block of north 13th Street. Google Maps showed it was a residential area.
An eyewitness told the Casa Grande Dispatch she heard arguing, multiple gunshots and a woman speeding. She then saw a car speed away from the area.
Nearby Casa Grande Middle School and Saguaro Elementary School were placed on lockdown while police searched the area.
Casa Grande is about 45 miles southeast of Phoenix.
The case has been submitted to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review. It was unclear whether either of the suspects had a lawyer.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Is this your best you can troll with? I thought that was a legitimate question that will never be answered here.
Yes, because there's absolutely zero chance that 2 thugs with Hispanic surnames who committed a violent crime in southern Arizona could be in the country illegally!
'An eyewitness...heard...a woman speeding'
Did the eyewitness perhaps hear a woman screaming rather than speeding?
Sounds like a pretty standard firearms related DV outcome. This will be classed as a mass killing. Gun Nuts would have been happy to sell Perez the guns he used, no questions asked, if he didn't have them already.
