Camelback Road closed after shooting left 2 people in hospital in Scottsdale

Camelback Road was closed after a shooting that left two people in the hospital early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 1:15 a.m. near Scottsdale and Camelback roads, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

One person was detained, and two others were taken to the hospital, police said. Authorities did not say what condition the individuals were transported in.

Camelback Road is closed between Buckboard Trail and Civic Center Plaza as detectives investigate the shooting.

There is no outstanding threat to the community, police said.
