Busy Paradise Valley intersection to be restricted through September

PHOENIX – Drivers in Paradise Valley should expect delays at a major intersection for the next two months because of infrastructure work.

Lanes will be reduced in all directions at the intersection of Tatum Boulevard and Lincoln Drive from Thursday until the end of September, the Northeast Valley suburb said in a press release.

No left turns will be allowed at the intersection while the lane restrictions are in place, as crews work to install a new water main.

With significant delays expected, especially during rush hour, the town encouraged drivers to avoid the area.

Installation of the water main, which spans 2 miles of Lincoln Drive from 36th Street to Desert Fairways Drive, began in May and is expected to be completed by late fall.

Work on project is scheduled for 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, with weekend work a possibility at times.
