Bodycam footage appears to show a Phoenix Police Officer shoot a knife-wielding suspect nine times.

PHOENIX — Police released bodycam footage of an officer-involved shooting that left a 36-year-old man dead in south Phoenix on Aug. 31.

Footage shows the man, Efrain Hidalgo, resisting arrest from two Phoenix Police officers before pulling out a knife, forcing police to back off and then fire at him.
Approximately nine shots rang out from the officer, who was described as a two-year veteran of the South Mountain Precinct.
What led to the officer-involved shooting?
Officers attempted to pull Hidalgo over for riding a bike without a headlight when he attempted to flee.
He then stopped near 20th Street and Southern Avenue when officers were able to catch up to him.
Once they caught up to him, he attempted to flee again but only made it a couple of feet before he was tackled to the ground.
No officers were injured in the ensuing struggle.
Traffic was restricted for the incident and an investigation was taken over by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
It will be reviewed by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Blundt used to commute to work on a bike every day, sometimes twice a day...
Blundt saw ''Lance Armstrong Wannabes'' run stop signs, red lights, travel the wrong direction against traffic, nearly hit children boarding or unloading from a school bus, fly through school zones, and etc., etc.
Blundt is thoroughly convinced that only Blacks, Browns, and the Homeless of various colors are hassled so much for NOT have a taillight or headlight on a bike.
You might have had something there if you hadn't said "recognized". The term cons is widely recognized as being short for a convict not a conservative. But hey, you do you boo.
So, by that logic, the recognized short for conservatives is cons.
