PHOENIX — Former President Bill Clinton is coming to Arizona next week to support Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic presidential campaign announced Wednesday.

Clinton will speak in Phoenix next Wednesday (Oct. 23) at a time and site to be announced.

With early voting underway, the 42nd U.S. president will encourage Arizonans to vote early for Democrats from the top of the ticket to down-ballot races. Clinton will be the second former U.S. president to campaign in Arizona this week, joining Barack Obama (Friday) in supporting Harris for president.

Clinton’s visit will come just two weeks before the Nov. 5 general election.

Arizona remains hotspot for presidential campaigns

As a battleground state, Arizona continues to be a hotspot for presidential campaigns. All four presidential and vice presidential candidates have visited the swing state in the last week.

In addition to Clinton and Obama, President Joe Biden is visiting Arizona next week “to participate in an official event,” according to the White House.

Walz and his Republican counterpart, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, have each attended multiple events in Arizona.

Harris then held a rally in Chandler on Oct. 10, her third visit to the state since she moved to the top of the ticket.

Trump, meanwhile, held a rally in Prescott Valley on Sunday afternoon.

Clinton has been on a swing state tour for Harris in the midst of the looming Nov. 5 general election, hitting the Georgia campaign trail for the vice president several days ago.
