Beach Boys announced as headliner of Ostrich Festival in Chandler

PHOENIX — The Beach Boys were announced as the headliner for the 30th Annual Ostrich Festival in Chandler.

The festival takes place from March 9-11 but the Beach Boys will only be performing on that Sunday. Country singer John Michael Montgomery will take over music duties on that Saturday. The music act for Friday has yet to be announced.

While the festival only takes place over the three-day period, Ostrich Festival Kickoff Weekend will start on Saturday, March 3.

The Kickoff Weekend will consist of the annual Ostrich Festival Parade, the Mayor’s Fun Run, a classic car show and the Public Safety Fair.

The festival is located Germann and McQueen roads. Tickets start at $6.

There will be a number of rides and attractions at the event including a Ferris wheel, roller coasters and slides. Rides cost extra.

The critically-acclaimed Beach Boys, known for vocal harmonies, have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have released 29 studio albums.

Despite their large catalog of songs to select from, the group will likely play a number of their hit songs like “Good Vibrations”, “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “I Get Around”.
