Bar Brawl returns to north Scottsdale’s Tell Your Friends in August after hiatus
After several years, Bar Brawl will return every Sunday in August as top Valley bartenders vie for a championship belt at north Scottsdale's Tell Your Friends.

PHOENIX — Following several years of hiatus, top Valley bartenders will once again test their skills against one another in Bar Brawl, this time at north Scottsdale’s underground cocktail lounge, Tell Your Friends.
Beau MacMillan, executive chef at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, debuted the weekly contest back in 2015. Now, every Sunday in August, the cocktail lounge will host head-to-head bartending battles.
On the final Sunday, Aug. 31, the four head-to-head winners will compete for a championship belt and Valley supremacy.
How can I attend Bar Brawl?
Guests can reserve a spot at Tell Your Friends for just $1 ahead of each bartender duel on OpenTable under the tab, “Experiences.”
Reservations are not required but are highly encouraged.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. before each battle, which get underway at 7:30 p.m.
Before and during the contest, guests will be entertained with live music via the hands of DJ Hybrid Thirty3 and will be able to order cocktails and other appetizer foods from the lounge’s specialty menu.

- Aug. 10 – Hotel Valley Ho‘s Jason Hoeptner vs. Trevor’s Liquor (North Scottsdale) Melissa Hejl
- Aug. 17 – The Italiano‘s Abby Kate Larson vs. Carry On‘s Moises Castro
- Aug. 24 – Pigtails‘ (Desert Ridge) Alex Denney vs. Liquor Pig‘s Matthew Crisp
- Aug. 31 – Four head-to-head winners in championship
A panel of celebrity judges from across the country will determine the winners.
