An 8-year-old boy from Arizona had his birthday celebration turned into one that was truly magical last week as he was celebrated as the honorary one billionth guest to visit Disneyland.

An 8-year-old boy from Arizona had his birthday celebration turned into one that was truly magical last week as he was celebrated as the honorary one billionth guest to visit Disneyland.
To commemorate the occasion during the park’s 70th anniversary celebration, Andres Robles and his parents Alejandra and Jose participated in a ceremony at its Main Street U.S.A. train station, unveiling a “Population 1,000,000,000” sign.
“Welcoming our one billionth guest is a remarkable milestone for Disneyland Resort and a testament to the generations of guests who have made this special place part of their lives,” Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino said in a news release. “For more than 70 years, Walt’s original park has been a timeless symbol of Disney storytelling, where memories are made and shared, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward for guests today and for generations to come.”
After the unveiling, the Robles family was treated to a VIP tour guide for the day who showed them Walt Disney’s private apartment, took them to the Soarin’ Across America attraction, which recently opened, and provided them with other memorable experiences.
The Happiest Place on Earth welcomed its first guests on July 17, 1955, and has since grown to include two theme parks, three hotels and the Downtown Disney District, which consists of places to shop and a number of restaurants.
It has been handcrafted by Imagineers to provide guests with an experience that immerses them in theming, has meticulous storytelling and family-friendly entertainment.
“Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world,” Walt Disney once said.
