Autistic teen who went missing after Glendale track meet found safe

An autistic teen who went missing after not coming home from a track meet in Glendale has been found safe, according to his mother.

PHOENIX — An autistic teen who went missing after not coming home from a track meet in Glendale has been found safe, according to his mother.

“I can not begin to express my gratitude to family, friends and the community of people I did not even know, who stayed up all night with me and were searching for my son,” the teen’s mother said in a Facebook post.

William Faire, 18, was located near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road Sunday morning.

He was last seen at Copper Canyon High School near 91st Avenue and Camelback Road on Saturday.

He was believed to be wearing blue Buckeye Union High School track clothing, according to police.

If anyone had any information on Faire’s whereabouts, they were urged to contact local authorities.
