2 people hospitalized after attempted Chandler home burglary

Two people were hospitalized on Saturday morning after being assaulted by three suspects who allegedly broke into their Chandler home, authorities said.

Two people were hospitalized on Saturday morning after three suspects allegedly broke into their Chandler home and assaulted them, authorities said.

The Chandler Police Department responded to a report of an attempted burglary around 6 a.m. near Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road. Officers found one person with a gunshot wound and another person with undisclosed injuries.

Both victims are expected to survive, police said.

Chandler home burglary suspects arrested near southern border

Detectives learned that the suspects — an adult and two minors — were connected to a nearby unrelated incident, authorities said.

The adult and one of the minors were arrested on Sunday evening as they were attempting to cross the southern border in Mexico. Two other men were also arrested for related crimes.

The search for the remaining suspect is ongoing.
