PHOENIX — Arizona State University is advising those in the Tempe area to expect significant traffic congestion around the campus on Thursday due to a scheduled rally at Mullett Arena for former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic is anticipated from early in the morning until around 4:30 p.m, with the rally starting at 2 p.m.
Packard Drive will be closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain closed until after the rally on Thursday afternoon. In addition, expect possible closures or restrictions along 6th Street, which may cause traffic congestion leading up to and during the event.
Due to large crowds, parking near the arena will be limited. Those attending the rally are encouraged to utilize public transportation, including light rail or local bus services, to help alleviate traffic.
