PHOENIX — Arizona adults ages 21 years and older are eligible to finish high school online for free through Graduation Alliance, according to a press release.

Funded by the 55th Arizona State Legislature, the Arizona Workforce Diploma Program will give students a high school diploma upon graduation.

“The Arizona Workforce Diploma Program pairs time and place flexibility with personalized support to give adult students everything they need to finally earn their high school credential — at no cost to them,” Graduation Alliance CEO Ron Klausner said in the release.

All courses will be online and not require the students to purchase any textbooks or course materials.

Students can earn industry-recognized or stackable credential as part of the program, meaning graduates will have a diploma and marketable skill, according to the release.

Arizona is home to nearly 680,000 adults without a high school diploma, according to the U.S Census Bureau.

“When a student drops out of high school, it not only affects them personally, but it also impacts their community and the country as a whole,” Klausner said in the release.

“By investing in their undereducated adult population, Arizona is developing its workforce and making Arizona a better place to live and work.”
