Arizona COVID-19 dashboard updated with more specified location data

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Health Services on Monday updated its coronavirus dashboard to include more specific location data among other changes.

One of the updates was to the zip code case directory, which saw the parameters upped to reflect areas that have experienced a higher volume of cases.

The legend now shows data incrementally for zip codes that have experienced up to 40 cases and beyond.

Previously, the directory offered zip code data from “zero” cases to “more than 10” cases with a total of four possible categories.

Also, the dashboard has the epi curve for coronavirus cases in the state, which wasn’t previously available.

The epi curve tracks the state’s COVID-19 cases by day.

Other new information as part of the updated, three-section dashboard include hospitalization and death info as well as information about hospitalized cases in Arizona.

The state has been updating the dashboard regularly since the coronavirus outbreak.

On April 12, Arizona added three new tabs to the dashboard: three new tabs: COVID-19 Deaths in Arizona, COVID-19 Zipcode Map and Hospital COVID-like-illness Surveillance.

As of Monday morning, there had been 5,064 positive tests for COVID-19 and 187 deaths in the state, with 54,500 tests given.
