Arizona Broadway Theatre announces 2026-27 season with world premiere, regional debuts

PHOENIX — Arizona Broadway Theatre will stage 10 productions in its 22nd season, including a world premiere and three regional debuts, the company announced Monday.

The 2026-27 lineup runs from October through September at the 466-seat theater in Peoria’s P83 Entertainment District at North 83rd Avenue and West Paradise Lane.

“Triângulo,” a new musical set in 1990s Brazil at the birth of mixed martial arts, will have its world premiere in April. The show follows a young Brazilian woman who enters professional fighting to support her family.

The season also brings three regional premieres to Arizona: “Mean Girls,” the Tony-nominated musical based on Tina Fey’s 2004 film; “Wonderland,” a modern take on the Alice in Wonderland story; and “Honeymoon in Vegas,” a comedy featuring Elvis Presley music.

“Bringing three regional premieres and a world premiere production to the Arizona stage for the first time is both a privilege and a responsibility we don’t take lightly,” theater art director Kurtis Overby said in a statement.

The season opens Oct. 2 with the Tony-winning “Pippin” and includes revivals of “My Fair Lady,” “Cabaret” and the holiday production “Miracle on 34th Street.”

Rounding out the schedule are “JingleJacks,” a holiday comedy, and “Pump Boys and Dinettes,” a country-folk musical set at a roadside gas station.

Season ticket packages are now on sale. Single tickets go on sale July 13.
