PHOENIX – Apex Power Conversion announced its new United States headquarters and manufacturing facility in Mesa on Monday.
The facility, located on Elliot and Signal Butte roads, will see its employees work in tandem with the company’s research and development and manufacturing production teams located in Spain.
“This investment not only brings quality jobs and innovation to our community, it also strengthens Mesa’s reputation as a destination for global companies and forward-thinking industries,” Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman said in a release.
“We’re excited to welcome Apex Power and look forward to the positive impact they’ll have on our economy, workforce and future.”
The solar and storage company currently plans to carry a workforce of up to 300 people but plans to have as many as 700 employees over the next four years.
The company will also invest more than $60 million to convert the existing 206,000 square-foot facility, which is currently being utilized as a place for customer engagement and product training, into a center for “advanced multi-megawatt power conversion manufacturing for integrating renewables and energy storage with the grid,” according to a release.
Manufacturing is expected to begin during the first quarter of 2026.
“At Apex Power, we are relentless in pursuing our mission to develop and manufacture the most advanced power conversion systems — technologies that directly enable the integration of renewable energy and storage onto our power grids. It is a humbling honor to launch Apex Power’s headquarters and manufacturing operations in my family’s hometown of Mesa,” Apex Power Conversion president and co-founder Jacob Marshall said in a release.
“Apex’s culture is grounded in our purpose and our partnerships, and we look forward to showing the world exactly what we are capable of.”
