ADOT: No weekend freeway closures, part of 40th Street closed

PHOENIX — There will be no freeway closures this weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation said Thursday.

However, 40th Street between Frye and Pecos roads will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The closure is part of construction for the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway in Ahwatukee, ADOT said.

Local and park-and-ride traffic can access 40th Street between Briarwood Terrace and Cottonwood Lane.
