PHOENIX — The Jodi Arias trial has gripped readers nationwide since it began in 2008, when she was charged with the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.
Whether it’s the nature of the allegations or the seemingly never-ending dramas, people cannot get enough of Arias.
She was found guilty of first-degree murder in May, only to see the penalty phase declared a mistrial. The subsequent jury selection and resumption of the penalty phase brought about a new wave of crazy antics, including Judge Sherry Stephens attempting to block both the public and media from hearing a witness testify.
While some hoped the case would be resolved in 2014, it has continued into 2015.
Below is a timeline of the Arias penalty phase retrial.
