Mesa police investigating after 36-year-old with developmental disabilities found dead in car

An investigation is underway after a 36-year-old man with developmental disabilities was found dead inside a car in Mesa on Thursday evening, authorities said.

An investigation is underway after a 36-year-old man with developmental disabilities was found dead inside a car in Mesa on Thursday evening, authorities said.

Police and fire personnel were called to ITC Personal In-Home Care, also known as Pathways for Life, which is located near Lindsay Road and Adobe Street, around 5:45 p.m. after Lorenzo Lopez was found dead, according to the Mesa Police Department.

A spokesperson for Pathways for Life confirmed to ABC15 that Lopez was a member. They also told the TV news station that the company is cooperating with investigators.

Authorities have not yet determined his cause of death.
