3-year-old girl taken to hospital in critical condition after being pulled from pool in Phoenix

A 3-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition Tuesday after being pulled from a pool in Phoenix, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A 3-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition Tuesday after being pulled from a pool in Phoenix, authorities said.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road and initial reports state no CPR was performed on the child prior to authorities arriving on scene, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

Crews immediately began advanced life support measures on the child and loaded her into the ambulance for rapid transport to the emergency department.
