3 hospitalized after crash involving allegedly impaired driver in Glendale, police say

Three people were hospitalized after a crash involving an allegedly impaired driver in Glendale on Saturday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Three people were hospitalized after a crash involving an allegedly impaired driver in Glendale on Saturday morning, authorities said.

According to the Glendale Police Department, officers responded to the area of 61st and Maryland avenues for reports of a two-vehicle collision that resulted in injuries.

Police said that the female driver of the first vehicle, who was allegedly intoxicated, was traveling southbound on 61st Avenue and blew through a stop sign before hitting the other car, which was traveling westbound.

The collision caused the second vehicle to go into the backyard of a home.

Three people were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The female driver of the first vehicle is being processed for DUI, according to police.
