3 Arizona men indicted in undercover operation targeting child sex crimes

PHOENIX — Three Arizona men were indicted as a result of a sweeping undercover operation that targeted suspects accused of luring minors for sex.

Vincent Ciliberti, Alejandro Cano and Dakota Reaney were indicted on charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and attempted sexual conduct with a minor, the state attorney general’s office announced Friday.

The men were arrested as part of Operation No Mulligans, a multi-agency operation that aimed to combat the demand for child sex crimes and human trafficking.

Ciliberti, 35, allegedly exchanged messages online with an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old boy and went to a location in Mesa where he thought he was meeting the boy. He is the head football coach at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale.

Cano, 30, was a childcare worker in the before- and after-school program at Copper Canyon Elementary School in Mesa when he was arrested for luring and attempted sexual contact with a minor.

According to a court document, Reaney “offered or solicited sexual conduct” with a child under 15 and attempted to engage in sex with a child under 15.

Seventeen men were arrested in Operation No Mulligans. It was conducted between January and February by multiple police departments and Homeland Security Investigations.

The investigation is ongoing.
