PHOENIX — Two teenagers were hospitalized after their car crashed with a school bus in Phoenix on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The collision happened at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Bell Road, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Both teenagers in the car, one female and one male, were extricated. The female was hospitalized in extremely critical condition, while the male was in stable condition.

The Phoenix Police Department will handle the investigation.
