2 adults, 5-year-old boy in critical condition after collision in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Three people, including a 5-year-old boy, were critically injured after a multi-vehicle collision in Phoenix on Tuesday, according to authorities.

The boy, and a woman and a man – both 30 – were taken to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

The incident occurred at the intersection of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Fire personnel arrived on the scene and found a two-vehicle accident. No extrication was required.
