13-year-old boy hospitalized after student ‘injured’ him at Scottsdale middle school

A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized Friday after reportedly being injured by another student at a Scottsdale middle school, police said.

PHOENIX — A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized Friday after reportedly being injured by another student at a Scottsdale middle school, police said.

Scottsdale police said the boy was taken to a local hospital after a 13-year-old girl “injured” him at Mohave Middle School, adding that it was an “isolated incident.”

He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said they were working with the Scottsdale Unified School District.

Operations at the school returned to normal by 11:50 a.m.
