10 displaced after fire burns through Phoenix apartment building

PHOENIX — Ten people were forced to leave their homes after a fire burned through an apartment building in Phoenix Saturday night, authorities said.

The single-story apartment complex near Seventh Street and Indian School Road had a fire burning through the attic and roofs of three separate units around 7 p.m., the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

As crews worked to extinguish the blaze from interior positions, all 10 residents were removed. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

An investigation is underway to determine the origin of the fire.
