Man arrested in connection with Scottsdale shooting that left 1 dead
A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Scottsdale on Wednesday that left one person dead, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Scottsdale on Wednesday that left one person dead, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
Around 12:25 a.m., police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex near Granite Reef Road and Montebello Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 30-year-old Gino Mendoza with gunshot wounds.
Mendoza was taken to a hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
Authorities said a 25-year-old man called 911 to report the shooting and stayed on scene. Upon officers arriving at the scene, police detained the man where he was later arrested. He was booked into jail on one count of second-degree murder.
The investigation remains ongoing. No other information was made available.
