1 firefighter injured following mobile home fire in south Phoenix

PHOENIX — A firefighter was injured after a fire broke out in a mobile in south Phoenix on Sunday, authorities said.

Around 2:30 p.m., crews responded to a call near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and fire at a mobile home.

Authorities said firefighters found a water source and pulled handlines to put the fire out. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to other homes.

A firefighter was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, according to authorities.

The cause of the fire is not known and is under investigation.
