1 dead, 1 injured after overnight shooting in Avondale
One person is dead and another was injured after a shooting in Avondale early Sunday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX — One person is dead and another was injured after a shooting in Avondale early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Police responded to a call near 103rd and Indianola Avenues around 3:30 a.m., where two people had been shot, according to the Avondale Police Department.
One victim, identified as an adult female, died at the scene and the other, identified as an adult male, was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The shooting occurred inside a residence, and the suspect fled the scene prior to the police arriving, authorities said.
They added that the victims knew the suspect.
The Avoldale Police Criminal Investigations Bureau is now investigating the shooting.
