1 person dead after hit-and-run in San Tan Valley

One person died and three more were injured in a hit-and-run accident involving three vehicles in San Tan Valley Friday evening, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Hunt Highway and shut down the roadway in both directions between Arizona Farms and Magma roads.

There are no longer any closures due to the crash.

One vehicle fled the scene of the three-vehicle collision, according to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a black Ford F-250 or 350, possibly a platinum edition, with front-end damage.

“We are asking the public’s help in locating the suspected vehicle. No tip is too small. If you have any information, please contact the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office immediately,” Sheriff Ross Teeple said in a release.
