ASU Prep expands with newest K-8 school in West Valley campus

The ASU Preparatory Academy will expand in fall 2026 with a new K-8 school, ASU Prep West Valley, which will offer hybrid learning opportunities for students.

The West Valley tuition-free charter school is the latest of 13 locations across the Valley that are part of ASU Prep, which was established in 2008. This new campus will be on 43rd Avenue and West Peoria Avenue.

ASU Prep West Valley will offer in-person learning for grades K-4 and ASU Prep Digital+, a hybrid program with future-focused learning for middle school students.

Middle schoolers will learn on campus twice a week and online on the other days as they prepare for high school.

“The West Valley is seeing rapid growth and significant job expansion, and that’s bringing a surge of families to the area who prioritize education and a path toward future college and career attainment,” Amy McGrath, managing director of ASU Prep said in a statement. “ASU Prep answers a growing demand for innovative school models with a college going culture, personalized learning and innovative technology tools that make learning meaningful.”

Alondra Salazar will lead ASU Prep West Valley K-4 as the school founder, brings more than 15 years of experience as a teacher and middle school principal.

“Each child at ASU Prep West Valley will be surrounded by a culture that celebrates learning and encourages big dreams,” Salazar said. “Our classrooms will be filled with exciting activities and the latest technology that helps young scholars look forward to coming to school each day.”
