Georgia-based fried chicken chain Zaxbys opened its first Arizona store in Queen Creek this month, and the company is looking to fast-track the brand’s growth in the Valley.
Zaxbys opened its newly built, 3,000-square-foot restaurant in Queen Creek at 37756 N. Gantzel Rd. The location has a dining room, a dual drive-thru and a door just for curbside pickup.
The day of the opening ribbon cutting, customers lined up outside the restaurant to be some of the first to eat Zaxbys in Arizona. The reception in Queen Creek was surprising to Zaxbys Chief Operating Officer Sharlene Smith.
