Sex trafficking survivors in the metro Phoenix area are set to soon benefit from a hospital that will be built by nonprofit Where Hope Lives.

Where Hope Lives, a Phoenix-based nonprofit that operates three residential facilities for young survivors of sex trafficking in the Phoenix metro, plans to build a hospital to support patients in a West Valley city.

With a $60 million development cost, the 170-bed hospital will be built on nine acres the nonprofit owns next to one of its residential facilities.

The Business Journal is not identifying the exact location of the three residential facilities and proposed hospital to protect the residents and future patients.
