Hawaiian resort wear brand Tori Richard to open first mainland store in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — Resort wear brand Tori Richard will be expanding from the islands of Hawaii to the mainland U.S. for the first time, as it will open a store in Scottsdale on Saturday.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new location at Scottsdale Fashion Square, the store will host a daylong celebration featuring live art and styling sessions.

Starting at 5 p.m., the festive occasion will continue with live music and an appearance from Tori Richard President and CEO Josh Feldman, along with hors d’oeuvres and champagne.

“We are thrilled to be opening our very first store on the U.S. mainland in Scottsdale,” Feldman said in a press release Friday. “It’s a big moment for us as we expand our retail stores outside of Hawaii, and we couldn’t think of a better place to introduce more people to our brand and signature aloha style.”

The store will be located in the south wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square, near the Gap and Abercrombie Kids.

It will feature a contemporary and immersive environment meant to highlight Tori Richard’s lines of resort wear for men and women, seasonal collections, accessories and lifestyle pieces.

The Honolulu-based company was founded in 1956 by designer Janice Moody, pattern maker Mitsue Aka and entrepreneur Mort Feldman. It sells apparel that is designed to reflect the spirit of Hawaii.
