Local chain Top Fuel Espresso opens 4th Valley location in Mesa

Local coffee and breakfast food chain Top Fuel Espresso expanded to its fourth location after a company leased space in Mesa.

The new spot leased by Western Retail Advisors sits near McKellips and Lindsay roads and will feature a double-lane drive thru and offer the joint’s signature “1968” espresso blend.

Top Fuel Espresso has stores in Tempe and Gilbert, and this is its second in Mesa. The other is located just off the U.S. 60 and Dobson Road.

“Top Fuel is a true Arizona success story,” Western Retail Advisors broker Darrell Deshaw said in a press release. “It has been my privilege to support their growth from the very beginning. We continue to consider new locations that will allow Top Fuel to expand its reach and bring its specialty experience to even more neighborhoods.”

Western Retail Advisors handled all four leases for the coffee brand to this point.

Top Fuel Espresso was founded in 2017 by Jessica Denison, who used to be a junior drag racer, at an Apache Junction farmer’s market.

The store offers hot, iced and blended coffees as well as “soda mixers,” tea, energy drinks smoothies and protein shakes. It also sells bagels and breakfast sandwiches, such as a bacon avocado melt.

Some of its featured specialty coffees include Pomona (caramel, macadamia nut, white mocha) and Rocky Mountain (caramel, marshmallow, mocha).

The McKellips location is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
