Tempe Marketplace welcoming Sam’s Club, 3 other new tenants

PHOENIX – Tempe Marketplace is rolling out the red carpet for four new tenants, including a highly anticipated Sam’s Club.

The warehouse club doesn’t open until early August, but its members-only fuel center at 2080 E. Rio Salado Parkway will debut with a grand opening event on Friday and Saturday.

Visitors can take advantage of discounted membership offers along with giveaways, refreshments, free window washings and more from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day of the celebration.

Once it’s up and running, the fuel station will operate Mondays-Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Developer Vestar first submitted plans for the Tempe Marketplace Sam’s Club in late 2023.

What other changes are happening at Tempe Marketplace?

Meanwhile, a Lovisa jewelry store recently opened at Tempe Marketplace next to Handel’s Ice Cream. The brand is known for its trendy pieces at accessible prices, with new items introduced weekly.

Additionally, the outdoor shopping center on Rio Salado Parkway at McClintock Road, just south of the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway, is set to add at least two more businesses in 2025.

Wellness and medical aesthetics provider Relive Health is on target to open in the fall. The approximately 2,000-square-foot spa will offer a variety of services, including hormone therapy, medical weight loss and advanced anti-aging treatments.

Furthermore, iconic workwear brand Carhartt is planning to open its first metro Phoenix retail location in a 6,000-square-foot space at the Tempe mall before the end of the year.
