Rack Room Shoes giving shoppers a chance to win a $500 gift card at new Goodyear store

PHOENIX — A new shoe store has opened in Goodyear and shoppers at Saturday’s official grand opening have a shot at winning a big prize.

The grand opening event for the new 8,000-square-foot Rack Room Shoes store will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Canyon Trails Towne Center, which is on the northeast corner of Yuma Road and Cotton Lane.

The first 50 customers in line at the event will be given a swag bag, which will contain prizes and a chance at winning a gift card worth as much as $500.

Rack Room Shoes expanding in Arizona

The North Carolina-based shoe store first opened in 1922 and now operates more than 500 locations around the country, focused on selling shoes for the entire family at affordable prices.

“We’re proud to bring Rack Room Shoes to Goodyear with a store designed to serve the entire family,” Dan Lazar, the company’s regional manager, said in a press release. “Our focus is on providing customers with both value and quality in one convenient location.”

This will be the seventh Rack Room Shoes location in Arizona. Here’s where the other locations can be found:

• The Arizona Mills shopping center in Tempe.
• The Outlets at Westgate in Glendale.
• The Phoenix Premium Outlets in Chandler.
• The Outlets North Phoenix in Anthem.
• The Flagstaff Mall.
• The Tucson Premium Outlets in Marana.

The company also operates the Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse at Arizona Mills.

The Goodyear store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
