Paradise Valley resort adding Arizona’s 1st Katsuya restaurant as part of $70M transformation

A Paradise Valley resort will undergo the final phase of its $70 million transformation from Q4 2026 to early 2027, including the addition of Arizona’s first Katsuya restaurant.

The modern Japanese restaurant features creative, sought-after dining of pristine sushi and sashimi, robata-grilled specialties and premium cuts.

Katsuya‘s addition to Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas Paradise Valley will make the destination one of the only resorts in Paradise Valley with two distinct, chef-driven restaurants (Hecho Libre).

The rest of the final phase of transformation includes 134 newly renovated Valley Villas and an onsen-inspired hotel-within-a-hotel (The Enclave).

When the project is complete, the property will have 404 renovated keys, six pools, 22 indoor and outdoor event venues, the two restaurants from award-winning talents and on-property experiences.

“Kimpton Miralina introduced a new definition of desert hospitality in Paradise Valley with an entirely original take on Sonoran-inspired design,” Arash Azarbarzin, principal of the property’s management group, Highgate, said in a news release. “Now with Phase Two, we complete that vision with villas, a new luxury residential experience for guests who want privacy and service in equal measure and the arrival of Katsuya, a culinary debut Scottsdale has not seen before.”
