Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa completes $7M transformation

PHOENIX — Renovations have been completed on the meeting and events venues at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa, an award-winning hotel located near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road.

The $7 million project touched up on five different spaces both indoors and outdoors: Views Ballroom, Views Terrace, Paradise Views, Lower Lawn and Cholla meeting room.

Additionally, the West and North building had new windows and doors installed as well as a sun shade that encompasses each of its three sides, according to a press release.

The renovations addressed about 8,000 square feet of space at the resort, which hosts a variety of gatherings, including weddings with up to 280 guests.

Among the “most dramatic” upgrades was the Views Ballroom, which eliminated “visual obstructions” — fireplace, exterior bars and partial walls — to its north outdoor views.

Both the Views Terrace and accompanying lawn are now equipped with customizable seating options so event planners can set things up based on their specific needs.

“The reimagined spaces honor our commitment to providing exceptional experiences while solidifying our position as the premier destination for sophisticated gatherings in the greater Phoenix area,” the resort general manager Laura McIver said.

The Cholla meeting room and Paradise Views outdoor space received minimal touch-ups, primarily for a “refreshed” appearance.

Three new sets of programming have been launched at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain with the completed renovations, including mental fitness workshops conducted in partnership with Scottsdale-based Kinfolk Optimal Living, a whole body chiropractor.
