C2 Tactical opened its first franchise location of the Valley-based indoor shooting range and training facility on Thursday in Mesa.
The new facility, located near Ellsworth and Pecos roads in the Mesa Gateway Airport area, offers 23 lanes in its shooting range, a simulation room, training areas and a VIP suite, all spanning 23,000 square feet.
The concept also features a firearms and accessories shop.
C2 Tactical previously had two locations in Tempe and Scottsdale, while the new location is owned and operated by East Valley-based mother-and-son tandem Tina and Turner Drake.
“As longtime customers, we had already experienced firsthand the consistency, professionalism and community that C2 Tactical provides, so when we learned franchising was available, it felt like a natural fit,” Turner Drake said in a press release. “We’re honored to bring this trusted brand to Mesa and excited to serve our local community.”
Owner Vincent Vasquez said franchising was more about finding the right potential owners who were aligned with the concept’s values regarding education and responsible gun ownership than it was to rapidly expand.
“Turner and Tina embody the qualities that we were looking for in franchise partners, and Mesa is the perfect next step for our brand,” Vasquez said.
C2 Tactical is also open to others hoping to become franchisees, and information can be requested online.
