BB Living opens Phoenix build-to-rent community, has more projects under development

Scottsdale-based BB Living has opened a build-to-rent community in the Desert Ridge area of north Phoenix, with five more communities scheduled.

Scottsdale-based BB Living has opened a build-to-rent community in the Desert Ridge area of north Phoenix, with five more communities scheduled to open in four states this year.

With $1 billion in completed construction, these new communities are part of a plethora of projects under construction or in the pipeline across metro Phoenix; Denver; Boise, Idaho; Dallas and Austin in Texas; and Florida, said Branden Lombardi, president of BB Living.

“We’re adding to the supply picture,” Lombardi said.

Usually, BB Living develops its own build-to-rent communities, which feature rental units with shared amenities, such as a pool and parks.
