Developers started work Wednesday on a highly anticipated mega gas station and travel center in Goodyear.

Arizona’s first Buc-ee’s will be located at 1001 N. Bullard Ave., just off the I-10 and in between the 303 and 101 freeways. The 74,000 square-foot store will feature 120 fueling stations and a variety of typical Buc-ee’s offerings like a Texas barbeque station, homemade fudge, and a beef jerky wall, along with thousands of snack and drink options. It will also sell apparel and other items.

Buc-ee’s claim to fame, though, is its exceptionally clean bathrooms.

The Goodyear location, which will be open 24 hours a day, is expected to bring around 200 new full-time jobs to the area. Those workers will receive benefits including three weeks paid vacation, 6% matching 401(k), and starting wages “well above minimum wage,” according to a company announcement.

Buc-ee’s started site grading in October, about half a year after it acquired 22 acres for the new store for $17.24 million.
