Utah-based America First Credit Union is expanding its footprint in Arizona with plans to open eight new branches in the state by 2027.

Utah-based America First Credit Union is expanding its footprint in Arizona with plans to open eight new branches in the state by 2027.

America First Credit Union’s expansion kicked off this week with the opening of a 3,000-square-foot branch at 15725 W. McDowell Road in Goodyear. The branch has seven employees and offers a variety of banking, mortgage and wealth advisory services.

America First ranked No. 2 among the largest regional credit unions in Arizona with $22.6 billion in total assets and $15.5 billion in loans during the first quarter, according to Business Journal research.

Although America First operates five branches in Arizona, its Goodyear branch is the first the organization has built from the ground up in the state, marking a milestone in its regional growth strategy.
