2026 602 Day: Find hundreds of discounts during annual celebration of Phoenix-area civic pride

Residents across the Phoenix area can save money while celebrating civic pride during the third annual 602 Day.

Residents across the Phoenix area can save money while celebrating civic pride during the third annual 602 Day.

As part of Tuesday’s festivities, more than 350 Valley restaurants, boutiques, service providers, sports teams and attractions are offering special deals.

Many of the offers incorporate the number 602 – Arizona’s original area code. The date, 6-2, also reflects the theme of this year’s “holiday.”

“We had that area code back in 1947. It is Phoenix history, but also, we think, a great way to celebrate local pride,” Mayor Kate Gallego told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Arizona’s Morning News on Friday.

“We know that June is not always the busiest month for our small businesses, so we thought this would be a great way to get people out on a Tuesday, go out and enjoy our city and support those small businesses.”

The third annual 602 Day is set for June 2, 2026.

The 602 Day website has a searchable map.

For example, admission is just $6.02 for the day at the Phoenix Zoo, Arizona Science Center and Desert Botanical Garden.

“If you’ve been meaning to visit, this is a good a good time to get out and then enjoy all things local and celebrate Phoenix,” Gallego said.

The number of participants has tripled since the inaugural event in 2024.

How to find 602 Day deals

The 602 Day website has lists of brick-and-mortar and online participants as well as a searchable map that shows how to find all the deals.

“Tons of restaurants have specials, but there’s bookstores, you can take athletic classes, there’s even an oil change special,” Gallego said.

Additionally, the city partnered with State Forty Eight on a limited-edition $34 T-shirt to commemorate this year’s 602 Day. Orders are being accepted online through June 19, and shipping will begin July 4.
