Verne Troyer takes unorthodox approach to ALS challenge

Sure, Charlie Sheen may have poured $10,000 over his head while everyone else is pouring ice water, but nobody has done the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge quite like the environmentally-conscious Verne Troyer.

Troyer, most famous for his role of Mini Me in the “Austin Powers” film franchise, resides in California, which is in the throes of a terrible drought.

Instead of simply wasting an entire bucket of water, Verne chose another, albeit unorthodox, cold liquid to pour over himself.
