John Oliver shoots celebrities in the face with salmon cannon

If you’re a celebrity, you may want to consider ducking.

We here at KTAR love great talk show moments and aren’t afraid to show it. We’ve posted plenty of clips from Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and others, because a lot of them are hysterical.

But we may not be posting as much, because John Oliver just raised the game. On the latest “Last Week Tonight,” the former “Daily Show” contributor discussed the salmon cannon.

It may sound weird, but it’s a cool invention. Basically, it helps salmon get upstream during spawning season when man-made structures are in the way.

Oliver had to try the cannon himself. As it turned out, a lot of his targets were A-listers.
