Valley native a two-time world sign spinning champion

Laramie Rosenfield has been spinning signs for seven years, gaining national notoriety, and even championships, along the way.

Valley native Laramie Rosenfeld received his first job as a sign spinner at the age of 15. He stood on the northwest corner of Litchfield and Indian School Roads in Goodyear twirling an arrow-shaped advertising sign to pique the interest of passersby and generate business for his employer.

To a young Rosenfeld, spinning signs was much more than a part-time job to make some extra spending money during high school; it was his passion. He considers sign-spinning an art and a sport.

Now at the age of 22, Rosenfeld is the two-time reigning champion at the World Sign Spinning Championships. He has traveled across the nation, appearing in commercials and teaching others his one-of-a-kind spins.

KTAR’s Cooper Rummell had a chance to meet up with Rosenfeld back at the corner Litchfield and Indian School and get a lesson of his own.
